Large Scale PEZ 'Oscar' Business Card Dispenser

This brief allowed me to explore point of sale and marketing models used to draw people in for a specific aim. In this case I used the familiar PEZ sweet dispenser as a marketing tool by redesigning the mechanism and scale to accommodate business cards. This item will be included as a self promoting piece at the New Blades Show 2011.

The sculpt was made in clay, coated in fiberglass to make a mould and cast in polyurethane resin before being prepared, sprayed and lacquered. The mechanism works using a system of counter weights which both keep the flow of cards consistent and the sculpt piece in position when at ease.
